"Westport, Mendocino Coast"

6" x 9" oil on panel

Westport is a tiny town perched on a bluff above the Pacific Ocean, located around 40 minutes north of Mendocino. I spent a week in Westport last summer, painting with friends. This spot is on the road to West Yellowstone, in Yellowstone National Park. It's apparently a popular crossing and feeding location for the elk - before they even arrived, several tourists were waiting with their giant cameras, tripods and telescopes all set up. The painting is 6 by 8 inches and is oil on panel. SOLD
